Sacred to the memory of Thomas John, who died at Collin Mill on the 26th of June 1869, in the 84th year of his age. Also of James John his son, who died at Collin Mill on the 26th of January 1851, in the 20th year of his age. Also Janet Shennan, wife of the above Thomas John, who died at Collin Mill on the 1st of May 1894, aged 88 years. Also William John, their son, who died at Auchencairn, 16th November 1904, aged 78 years. Also Jeannie Johnstone Corrie, wife of above William John, who died 24th Feb’y 1925, aged 76 years. Also Robert J. Jamieson, only son of the late William Jamieson, who died 10th Aug. 1934, aged 64 years.
In loving memory of John McAdam, who died at Auchencairn, 26th Sept. 1893, aged 72 years. Agnes Smith, his wife, who died at same place, 18th Oct. 1871, aged 49 years. John, their eldest won, who died at Taree, N.S. Wales, 25th August 1913, aged 63 years. Robert Brydson, their son-in-law, who died at Auchencairn, 15th August 1916, aged 66 (changed by sculptor to 76 looks like) years. Jane McAdam, wife of the above Robert Brydson, who died at Auchencairn, 14th May 1925, aged 76 years. Joseph, son of the above John McAdam, who died at Cunnedah, N.S.W., 18th April 1928, aged 68 years. Erected by their sons.

Also Jane, their daughter, who died at Auchencairn, 22nd December 1876, aged 42 years. Also their son William Brown, who died at Glasgow, 15th Jan’y 1926, in his 83rd year. Also Grace Maxwell, wife of William Brown, who died at Auchencairn, 10th November 1915, aged 74 years. Boast not thyself of tomorrow.
In memory of Euphemia McVinnie, wife of James Craig, who died at Auchenfad, 30th July 1870, aged 32 years. Also Matthew Craig, their son who died at Chapmanton, 1st December 1896, aged 29 years. Also Janet Thomson, wife of the said James Craig, who died at Dalcroy, Castle Douglas, 20th January 1908, aged 71 years. Also the above named James Craig, who died at Dalcroy, Castle Douglas, 19th September 1913, aged 94 years.
In memory of Captain James Clark, Auchencairn, who was lost at Haurvig, Denmark, 28th Dec’r. 1868, aged 56 years. Margaret, his daughter, died at Auchencairn, 18th June 1841, aged 1 year & 3 months. David, his son, died at Rockcliffe, near Carlisle, 21st April 1875, aged 20 years. Mary Houston, wife of the above Captain James Clark, who died at Auchencairn, 31st March 1892, aged 82 years. William Clark, son of the above, who died 20th March 1903, aged 55 years. John Clark, son of the above, who died 23rd Sept. 1907, aged 65 years. Elizabeth Clark, daughter of the above, who died at Auchencairn, 10th Dec’r 1914, aged 79 years.
In loving memory of Jane Aitken, beloved wife of Thomas McQueen, who died at Hardhills, Auchencairn, 25th May 1929, aged 43 years. Also Tom, R.N., their son, lost at Crete, 22nd May, 1941, aged 22 years. Also the above Thomas McQueen, who died 4th Oct. 1960, aged 77 years.
In loving memory of Helen Calvert, wife of John Carnochan, who died at Culnaightrie, 6th Dec’r 1927, aged 72 years. Also the above John Carnochan, who died at Auchengool, 18th Jan’y 1939, aged 81 years. Also their daughters, Helen Wilson, died 28th Aug. 1956, aged 68 years, Maggie Calvert, died 31st Aug. 1956, aged 56 years. Both died at Castle Douglas Hospital.
Erected by Ametures of Auchencairn, to the memory of two unfortunate mariners, who bodies were found on Rascarol Shore, and interred in this place, on the 26th October 1863. Also of John Leachie, whose body was found on the same shore, and interred here on the 23rd June 1864. In oceans deepest darkest bed the secret slumbers with the dead.
In memory of Jane Walls, who died at Auchencairn, 11th Feb’y 1917, in her 91st year. Also her father, mother, & sister Helen, interred in Rerrick Churchyard.
In loving memory of Jane Good, wife of James Thomson, who died at Torr, 24th March 1915, aged 56 years. Also Jeannie Good, their grand-daughter, who died at Castle Douglas, 26th March 1915, aged 5 years. Also Robert, second son of the above, who was accidentally killed, 27th Dec. 1918, aged 36 years. Interred in Charleroi Cemetery, France. Also the above James Thomson, who died at Torr Cottage, 27th Jan’y 1938, aged 83 years. Also Elizabeth Bryden Thomson, daughter of above, who died 31st July 1960, aged 75 years. “Until the day break.”
In loving memory of Mary K. Snedden, beloved wife of Andrew Campbell, who died at Ivy Cottage, Auchencairn, 10th March 1915, aged 66 years. She hath done what she could: Mark XIV.8. Also the above Andrew Campbell, who died at 58 Copland St. Dalbeattie, 29th Sept. 1929, aged 80 years. Rest in peace. Peter Campbell their son, who was accidentally killed at Corse, Balmaclellan, 8th October 1888, aged 14 years. Pte, George B. Henderson, their son-in-law, who died at Military Hospital, Farnham, Surrey, 30th May 1915, aged 28 years. Pte. Samuel Beattie, their son-in-law, who was killed in action in France, 19th July 1916, aged 29 years. Pte. William Snedden Campbell, 1st Garr Batt. Gordon Highlanders, their son, who died at Simla, India, 7th October 1918, aged 32 years. John David Campbell, their son, who died at 11 Queens Grove, Dalbeattie, 4th February 1953 aged 72 years. Erected by her husband and family.

Also the above James Cruickshank, died at Cooperknowe, Dalbeattie, 15th Dec. 1955, aged 77 years. Also Lizzie Hamilton, beloved wife of the above, who died 5th Sept. 1968, aged 81 years.

Also the above William Dunlop, who died at Duncraig, Elderslie, 9th August 1932, in his 78th year.
