Here lies the said Margaret Loudon who died 18th May 1789, aged 62 years. And David Mackie, their son, who died at Savannah-la-Mar in the year 1794, aged 30 years. 8In loving memory of Jane Halliday, wife of John Wilson, died at Horden Hall, Castle Eden, Co. Durham, 1st June 1890, aged 58 years. The above John Wilson, died at Upper Barnbarroch, 22nd March 1893, aged 62 years. ‘I know that my redeemer liveth.'
9In loving memory of William, eldest son of James and Agnes Jamieson, who died at Damhead, Colvend, 10th August 1891, aged 21 years. David their son, died at Boundary Cottage, 16th Jan. 1905, aged 26 years. Agnes Roan, wife of James Jamieson, who died at Boundary Cottage, 12th December 1906, aged 60 years. The above James Jamieson, who died at Ewesdale, Uphall, West Lothian, 1st Jan. 1922, aged 80 years, and who is interred in the west side of this churchyard. Also Robert John, son of James and Agnes Jamieson, who died at Bournemouth, 1st July 1957, aged 82 years. Wm. Jamieson, father of the above J. Jamieson, died at Boundary Cottage, 3rd April 1903, aged 78 years.
10Side 1. Here by his own desire, are deposited the remains of James Gibson, late of Kelton Esq., formerly merchant in Virginia. The only son of the Rev. Mr Luke Gibson and Marion Gilchrist, he died A.D. 1786, aged 59. Possessed of a character which by its singular worth and goodness, procured him the unfeigned respect, and the warm approbation of all who knew him.

Side 2. The Rev. Mr John Watson, died Dec’r. 29th 1724, aged 46. Distinguished, piety, modesty & gravity of manners marked him out for the sacred office. A due measure of learning & knowledge, directed by a sound judgement, excellently fitted him to instruct & reform. With unwearied assiduity & singular fidelity, he wholly employed himself in the duties of his function. Nor was he more remarkably zealous in his labours, than truly successful in improving those committed to his care. Dying he left it doubtful whither in him Colvend lost a more faithful & useful pastor, or society a more peaceful and acceptable member.

Side 3. Religion without affection and the highest regard for sacred things. Great severity of manners, tempered with real goodness and a charitable opinion of others. Remarkable prudence and discression in the conduct of life, all eminently while living concurred to form the true character and render grateful the memory of a worthy person here interred. Marion Gilchrist, first the wife of Mr John Watson, afterwards of Mr Luke Gibson, Ministers of this Parish. She died Febr. 15th 1751, in the 58 year of her age.

Side 4. The Rev. Mr Luke Gibson, here interred, died at (illegible) A.D. 1760. After having officiated thirty five years as the minister of this parish. To a quickness of natural parts, and an uncommon study and knowledge of the Holy Scriptures in their original language, were added in him punctuality and zeal in discharging the duties of his sacred office, which with his genuine piety, fineness of mind and frankness of manners rendered him dear to his flock. Dilexil docuit volvit superavit adivit pierides populum biblia damna deum.
11In loving memory of John Joseph McQueen, died 9th Dec. 1909 aged 40 years. His wife Flora Jane McBain, died 1st Oct. 1952, aged 79 years. Also their daughter Flora Jane McQueen died 8th June 1974, aged 73 years.
12In memory of James Carter Parker who died in the Parish of Tylehurst, Berkshire, on the 24th July 1839, aged 26 years. Walter Parker who died at Tarrillian on the 9th July 1841 aged 22 years. Margaret Parker who died the 26th October 1843, aged 28 years. Thomas Parker who died 6th March 1849 aged 68 years. Margaret Carter, his wife, who died 4th of December 1851, aged 64 years. William Parker who died 13th March 1860, aged 45 years. Margaret Parker Jr. who died 7th September 1860, aged 2 years 10 months. Thomas Parker, grandson of Thomas Parker Sr. died at Dalbeattie 1st Feb'y 1878 aged 6 months.
13In memory of Catherine Paterson, wife of James Campbell, Fairgirth, who died 27th October 1846, aged 46 years. Also the said James Campbell, who died at Barlocco, 22nd April 1862, aged 62 years.
14In loving remembrance of The Rev. Edward J.O. Jack, 1906-1972. Minister of the Parish of Colvend and Southwick 1955 - 1972, and formerly of Laurencekirk, and of Newcraighall. He did justly, he loved mercy, and he walked humbly with his God. It is to life, and not to death, that our beloved go.

Robert Campbell, who died at Auchenhay on 8th Dec’r. 1849, in the 9th year of his age. George Campbell, who died there on 10th June 1851, in the 17th year of his age. Adam Campbell, who died at Dumfries, 15th September 1883, aged 44 years. Also James, son of the above, who died at Dalbeattie, 16th Sep. 1890 aged 55 years. Capt. George Campbell, son of the above who was drowned crossing the Nassau River, January 1894 in his 40th year. Capt. John Campbell, son of the above, who was drowned, with his sons, George and Ernest near Perth, Western Australia, August 1907, in his 64th year.
